Neovera Releases Security Validation Targeted To Regulated Industries
'For years, highly-regulated firms have relied on annual audits to prove protection – but that’s no longer enough,' says Neovera’s CEO.
Neovera, which provides cybersecurity and managed infrastructure services, recently announced its latest offering, Security Validation.
Security Validation is designed to help out IT teams in heavily regulated industries like healthcare and financial services.
The healthcare and financial industries are prime targets for cybercriminals. A 2024 report revealed that the healthcare vertical saw a 136 percent increase in cyberattacks from 2022 to 2023. The financial industry faced a whopping 177 percent increase in attacks from 2022 to 2023.

With Security Validation, organizations can create IT audits of people, polices, and processes, adhering to standards set by regulation agencies and frameworks including FFIEC (Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council), NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology), and CIS (Center for Internet Security), according to a news release from Neovera.
Other features include penetration testing; vulnerability scanning; cloud security reviewing of configurations, policies, and controls of infrastructure within the major cloud computing providers’ platforms; remediation reporting; and testing for implemented security controls.
“For years, highly-regulated firms have relied on annual audits to prove protection – but that’s no longer enough,” said Scott Weinberg, CEO at Neovera, in a statement in the new release. “Hackers are focused on sensitive data, something these organizations have in troves – and no size organization is immune.”
“Security Validation enables these teams to fight back, taking a proactive approach to identifying, understanding, and managing risks so they can focus on evolving their tech stacks to support growth,” Weinberg added.

In a statement shared with MES Computing, Weinberg also weighed in on how Security Validation can assist midmarket organizations:
“Regulatory and compliance mandates can establish a baseline but don’t guarantee protection. Security Validation takes operations a step further, uncovering risks, testing controls and informing security processes that stand up against today’s threats. In highly regulated industries, annual audits are just the starting point. For a more comprehensive approach, mid-market IT teams need a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks. Mid-market security and IT teams are often pressed for time and resources, especially in financial services, healthcare and other highly regulated industries. Security Validation simplifies cybersecurity for these teams, delivering a full suite of assessments, from audits and penetration testing to vulnerability management and cloud security reviews, to bolster protection,” he said in the statement.
