Neovera Acquires Greenway Solutions To Enhance Fraud Protection

The acquisition is the latest addition to the company’s portfolio of security solutions for highly regulated organizations.

Neovera, a cybersecurity company with a specific focus on organizations in highly regulated industries, Wednesday unveiled its acquisition of Greenway Solutions, a Charlotte, N.C.-based security company that provides adversarial fraud testing and can simulate real-time fraud attacks, especially those targeting the financial sector.

The acquisition is part of Neovera’s expansion strategy, the company said in a news release. In 2023, it acquired 10-D Security and AppliedCS to add to its portfolio of solutions to secure regulated industries.

“We’re an enterprise managed cybersecurity and IT services provider. And we have a very strong focus in highly regulated industries,” said Scott Weinberg, founder and CEO of Neovera, in a 2024 interview with MES Computing.

Weinberg spoke about how securing regulated industries is an ongoing endeavor to keep up with the latest threats thrown at health-care, finance and other regulated sectors.

"It’s a continuous process," he said, adding that ransomware, email phishing and "social penetration" attacks remain significant security challenges for customers.

With the acquisition, Neovera adds to its portfolio the capabilities of Greenway Solutions’ Fraud Red Team. The team conducts a battery of tests simulating fraud attacks, exposing where an organization’s fraud controls may be lacking.

“Greenway Solutions literally wrote the book on fraud control red teaming,” said Weinberg in the news statement. “Their approach sets the gold standard in adversarial fraud testing. Bringing that capability into Neovera significantly enhances our ability to deliver integrated, threat-informed security solutions to our clients.”

“Joining Neovera allows us to expand the reach of our fraud testing methodology and deepen our impact,” said Patrick Shaw, partner at Greenway Solution, in a news statement. “We share a commitment to helping clients protect against high-impact, evolving threats—and this combination strengthens that mission.”
