Devicie Unveils Reporting Connector For Microsoft Edge For Business
The new solution provides real-time browser telemetry.
Devicie, which provides endpoint management in Microsoft Intune environments, announced Monday its new Reporting Connector for the Microsoft Edge for Business browser.
The new solution allows MSPs and IT teams to view information about Microsoft Edge for Business browsers running on all endpoints they manage. This data includes browser health indicators, browser extensions activity, and security events.
Here are five things for midmarket IT leaders to know about Devicie’s new solution:
- It does not require the installation of additional agents on endpoints.
- Real-time browser telemetry data flows into Devicie’s platform.
- The data is presented in an interactive Edge for Business Health Report user interface.
- The report data can be searched by browser or by endpoint device name.
- The new solution allows admins to perform automated policy enforcement and block potentially risky browser extensions
“By integrating this solution with Microsoft’s Microsoft 365 and Intune environments, we’re delivering value to organizations looking to secure every layer of their modern workspace, while simplifying endpoint management. This is a major step forward in our mission to streamline security and provide actionable insights for businesses of all sizes, enabling them to respond more quickly to potential threats by correlating information from both devices and browsers,” Colin Britton, COO, Devicie, said in a news release.
“This integration empowers businesses to streamline security processes and achieve greater operational efficiency in their digital environments,” Arunesh Chandra, principal product manager at Microsoft, added in the statement.
Report Connector is included with Devicie and Microsoft Edge for Business at no additional costs. Installation requirements include Microsoft 365 licenses in an Intune environment, an active Devicie subscription, Microsoft Edge for Business installed on endpoints, and administrator permissions to deploy and manage policies, according to Microsoft.
