Alkira, RestorePoint.AI Team Up To Deliver AI-Driven Data Management To The Mid-Market

Multi-cloud networking company Alkira and RestorePoint.AI recently announced a partnership that aims to deliver a cloud-based data management service targeted to mid-market organizations.

The Alkira-RestorePoint.AI solution provides turn-key data management that runs on a private, secured network, the companies said. The service allows organizations to unify and categorize data residing on-premises or in the cloud. Features include data security, privacy policies, granular access controls, micro segmentation and analytics.

While Alkira has Fortune 100 enterprises among its customer base, it sees the solution as ideal for the mid-market.

The partnership, "establishes a transformative solution for organizations in various industry verticals by providing a resilient cloud network-as-a-service platform powering the AI and data management services," said David Klebanov, director of partner solutions at Alkira, in a statement to MES Computing.

"In today's landscape, organizations proficient in swiftly and securely leveraging and operationalizing their data assets gain a significant competitive edge. This joint solution is particularly beneficial for the mid-size organizations that oftentimes have limited access to in-house resources and expertise. Through our partnership, we are empowering our customers to tackle novel challenges and drive industry transformation."

Mid-sized organizations still very often have enterprise-sized data management needs.  In fact, of 130 senior U.S. IT leaders polled by MES Computing in December 2023, most said that their IT budgets had increased in the last 12 months compared with the period prior and that 10 percent planned to spend some of that money on analytics and 8% were spending on data management solutions.

Abdul Altamimi, CTO of RestorePoint.AI, spoke about the advantages the solution can deliver to mid-sized companies in a statement to MES Computing:

"Together, RestorePoint.AI and Alkira are enabling mid-size organizations to access a comprehensive, turn-key AI/data management service that runs on top of a robust and multi-cloud networking platform that provides granular access controls and micro-segmentation to meet the most demanding security and privacy requirements. This joint solution not only addresses the challenges of deploying secure, distributed analytics and AI models but also ensures our customers can scale their operations in the cloud, even with limited resources and expertise. The RestorePoint.AI and Alkira as a service offering equips organizations with the necessary resources to not only build their own analytics and Generative AI integrations but also tackle the network and security challenges of managing complex cloud environments."
